Abby Hegemann

From a young age, Abby’s interest in art and history led her to pursue a career in architecture.  During college, she spent a semester studying abroad in Ireland and touring Europe which allowed her to broaden her knowledge about foreign cultures, learn the metric system, and observe different construction practices/techniques. Since starting at Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture in 2010, Abby has completed National Register Nominations, historic tax credit projects, conducted field research and generated as-built drawings for historic renovations. Working alongside local, state and federal organizations, she promotes historic preservation and community revitalization. She also produces construction documents, meets with clients, and consults with engineers.
