Chris’ love of historic structures and appreciation for the art of design as it existed in the early part of the 20th century brought her to the architecture field. A background in history, and the documentation and analysis of existing historic structures has allowed Chris to further study how buildings are shaped and reshaped by changing cultural currents, usage and shifting values. Her experience ranges from designing a Crime Scene Investigation unit in a historic building, to the composition of National Register Nominations for individual buildings and districts. This understanding of building fabric and how/why it was woven allows Chris to incorporate sensitive design and a conscientious approach for each project embarked upon.
