| Ride for Hope to Benefit The Hope Center | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
In the summer of 2004, Principal Michael Alley, his family, and others biked across the U.S. to raise money and awareness for The Hope Center in Omaha, NE. Located at 20th and Burdette, The Hope Center strives "To bring 'hope' to urban youth and children leading to personal faith and the fulfillment of their destiny." For 56 days, 3700 miles, and through 14 states, the group successfully completed the ride from Oregon to New Hampshire. Thanks to sponsorships and the ambitious riders, donations were made and Hope Skate, a skating rink, basketball court and entertainment center, was opened in 2005. |
