Alley Poyner Macchietto was selected to complete the renovation of a 218-room hotel and lobby, and addition of convention space, restaurant, and new indoor water park at the Grand Prairie Hotel and Convention Center. The new 45,000 s.f. of meeting space can accommodate over 1,500 guests or an exhibition, and the Grand Slam Sports Bar & Grille (previously Houlihan's), features 255 seats, a bar, and private dining room. Known as the largest space-themed indoor water park in North America, the new indoor water park includes a moon crater pool, waterfall hot tub, water slides, lazy river, large activity pool, and exercise pool.
