Built in 1883, the original 3,500 s.f. structure known today as the Central Mattress Co. building underwent a renovation in 2007. Located in a growing area of downtown North Omaha on 13th and Cass streets, the now 16,824 s.f. historic building was developed for the Old Mattress Factory Bar & Grill. The building was built for Stabrie Grocery in 1883 and since then, has been added to and used by grocery wholesalers, several saloons and bars, a barber shop, art studio, and a mattress manufacturer. The new restaurant features a dining and bar area, game room, 133-inch projection TV, a dozen plasma televisions, outdoor patio, and large banquet space and offices on the second floor. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
