International Quilt Study
arts and sciences hall uno Originally built in 1937, the four-story Arts & Sciences Hall was the first building on the University of Nebraska-Omaha's midtown campus. The complete renovation/restoration of the 160,000 s.f. building involved classrooms, labs, a new Student Welcome Center, distance learning rooms, offices, and student lounge and study spaces. Consolidating 14 departments into contiguous entities, interpreting 'state-of-the-art' technology in a historic building, and restoring the structure to its original character were significant challenges. A multi-phased approach and extensive safety measures were implemented to allow the building to remain in use during construction.
