The renovation of this 1920's structure was designed as the new home for the Math and Statistics Dept. and the Computer Sciences/ Engineering Dept. The final design called for student spaces on the lower two levels with Departmental Spaces on the upper two levels. Exterior and interior spaces were treated as 'restoration' spaces, with a character sympathetic to the original building design. Through a collaborative value-engineering process, the challenging budget was met. The 96,000 s.f. project included a 150-seat lecture hall, Student Resource Center, faculty offices, a conference room, classrooms, work stations, research and computer labs, and a Mathematics Library. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
