The expansion and partial renovation of the existing Criss Library caters to the needs of University of Nebraska at Omaha's changing student body. The 3-story, approximately 31,500 s.f. addition to the north of the existing library provides light-filled space for student use and presents a new face to the library along Dodge St. The expansion includes student study space, a student lounge, expansion of stack space, a new freight elevator, and storage and mechanical space. A variety of seating and study areas encourage student use, a centrally located student lounge provides a 'coffee house atmosphere', and a sunken landscape garden provides light for the first floor. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
