Built in 1880, the Farrell Block building is historically significant to Hastings, Nebraska due to its associations with Thomas E. Farrell, an early settler and local leader in the community. Constructed of Colorado sandstone from Farrell mines, the 13,168 s.f. building is the only 19th century stone edifice in the area. The renovation and conversion of Farrell Block involves commercial space in the basement and on the first floor, and five apartments on the second floor. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
