Local developer Christian Christensen selected Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture to renovate the Historic Western Newspaper Union Building on 15th and Jones Street into luxury apartments. The 52,272 s.f. original building was designed by John McDonald, one of the region's most historically significant architects. While utilizing the key features of the existing structure and maintaining the historical character of the building, Alley Poyner Macchietto was able to design modern, functional and contemporary units in downtown Omaha.
