The Hope Center
north omaha infill housing holy name The City of Omaha commissioned Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture over the last dozen years, to design infill, single-family housing to be built on vacant lots throughout the North Omaha area. Situated in historic neighborhoods, these homes were designed in accordance with the Secretary of Interiors Standards for historic neighborhoods. Creative use of inexpensive materials was required to meet the challenging budget. Well over 100 houses have been built; changing the look of North Omaha. Each 1,200 s.f. house includes 3-4 bedrooms, 1 ¾ baths, full basements, front porches, efficiency gas furnaces and an attached single-car garage.
