Alley Poyner Macchietto has been the architect for six projects for the City of Omaha, Dept. of Public Works, in conjunction with the city's convention center and river front redevelopment efforts. The range of projects included: Three pump houses, a parking control center, and two storm water screenings buildings. The most visible of these is the Nicholas Street Screenings Building. This 2,000 s.f. structure contains screenings equipment but also acts as a visual anchor and way-finding landmark at the north end of the convention center complex. The 5,000 s.f. Burt-Izard building was designed to house screenings equipment, odor control equipment, a bridge crane and other storm water services equipment. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
