The Stephen Center's HERO Program Licensed Treatment Facility, "provides an appropriate environment for those working diligently to overcome the effects of addiction". This is done through education classes, individual therapy, and group involvement within the context of (12) step work. The 25,000 s.f. facility is a 3-story (plus basement) structure with four classrooms, a large meeting room, visiting nurses offices, a dining facility with full commercial kitchen, a resource technology room, 16 dormitory type units for 4 residents per unit, gathering spaces, laundry facilities, study rooms, and public phones. Completed on time and under budget in 2006, the project met all funding source requirements including housing tax credits. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
