Miller Park Family Aquatic Center is an 800-person capacity water park, designed for where a pool once stood. Because of the natural beauty and age of this historic Miller Park, Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture felt that a few well-placed pieces of "park-itecture" would be appropriate to meld this wholly new aquatic facility with the existing beauty of the park. The Aquatic Center includes a pool with two slides and slide tower, a sand-play area with children's playground equipment, water/sand castle station, multi-level concession area, two family-changing bath facilities, lockers, an entrance arcade with information desk, parking, landscaping, and a raised roof area to allow the lobby to be open to air and light.
