The City of Papillion hired Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture and Bohl & Associates to design their exciting new aquatic recreation facility. Located in a flood plain on five acres at the edge of Halleck Park, the facility is now a community focal point. Designed for families, it is organized in a park-like setting and can accommodate 1,500 visitors at one time. The water park was also designed to meet the community needs to accommodate swim team meets and band concerts. Papio Bay Water Park includes a zero depth, full access swimming pool, beach area, large deck area, 2 water slides, a waterfall, two shallow children's pools, a fountain, giant frog slide, playground, sand volleyball courts, and an open-air bath house. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
