Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture was selected to design a master plan renovation and addition of the facility to allow the best use of the space with the end result, a state-of-the-art YMCA. The 95,000 s.f. project included a pool area, climbing wall, two handball courts, expanded weight and cardio areas within the track area, fitness testing rooms, a strength and endurance lab, and additional Women's and Men's Fitness Centers. The 2003 renovation also included a nursery, kid's gym, teen room, computer lab, lounge, and a living room/kitchen/lounge for the 3 dormitory floors.
