Bethany Lutheran Church

Expansion of the Christian Education space, a fellowship hall, and improved parking facilities on a very constricted sloping site were the initial concerns of this Bellevue congregation. After completing programming and a master- plan study, Alley Poyner developed a two-phase expansion scheme that accommodates the church's present needs and future growth goals. Great care has been taken to respect the existing church's character and to create a warm and welcoming design to complement the evangelical mission of the church. The 7,400 s.f. project included a new social hall, library, classrooms, storage space, parking with improved traffic circulation, and a new entrance.
