Bethany Lutheran Church

First Christian Church selected Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture to assist in site selection and to develop a master plan for a new facility to meet the growth of the congregation and community. The final design expands the facility from 80,000 s.f. to 120,000 s.f. as the congregation grows, and places the sanctuary at the high-point of the site, visible to the adjacent Hwy. 92. The project included a sanctuary to seat 1,200 with a full immersion baptistery and instrumental music area, a chapel to seat 200, a 9,600 s.f. Family Life Center with a full-sized gymnasium, an educational wing with classrooms for all ages, an administration wing, and a pre-school and day-care facility.
