Due to building and site restrictions with their current church, First Presbyterian Church purchased a seven acre site for a new facility. After the initial brainstorming meeting, Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture developed several design options. The final design utilized an "interior street" to connect all the major spaces in the facility, proving for ease of circulation and orientation with literally no corridors. The new 22,000 s.f. church includes a sanctuary with seating for 300 (expansion to 500), a Family Life Center, kitchen, music room, administrative offices, library/parlor, classrooms, teen room, pre-school and a daycare. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
