Surrounded by a historic neighbor-hood, the Renaissance Social Service Center is located on the old Methodist Hospital Campus. The Salvation Army Chapel, also known as the Citadel Worship Community Center, is viewed as the jewel of the Campus. After a pot-luck supper "brainstorming session", a design scheme was developed in which the sanctuary was located on the main corner of the site creating a dominant visual image. The 25,000 s.f. project included a sanctuary with radial seating for 250 and over-flow seating for 100, a large entry spine, 12 classrooms, meeting rooms, a library, social hall, administrative office, youth lounge, and gym. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
