Lied Lodge & Conf. Center
keim hall unl Located at 10th Avenue and Main Street, just south of Council Bluff's Central Business District, the 1894 Pioneer Implement Building will be converted into affordable lofts for artists to live and work. First occupied by Pioneer Implement Company until 1914, the building was then owned by International Harvester Company from 1919 to 1964 and a variety of other businesses over the years. Artspace Projects, a Minneapolis-based group, is developing the building into 36 residential units ranging from studios to three-bedroom units, leasable commercial space, a gallery, commons space, and parking. The 80,797 s.f. renovation will be completed fall 2008.
