UNL College of Business

First Class Business Classes

APMA partnered with Robert A.M. Stern Architects on the design of the new College of Business at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Located at the heart of campus, the building is a focal point with a ceremonial entrance on axis with Memorial Stadium to the west. This relationship establishes a greenspace and pedestrian area for football gatherings and public events. Formally and conceptually the building achieves a balance between existing, traditional campus architecture and forward-looking, contemporary design in a way that aligns with the University’s priorities of tradition and innovation.

The four-story glass atrium extends the length of the building and floods the space with light. Sculptural stairs lead up to the limestone wings where offices are located. Classrooms and auditoriums incorporate cutting edge technology with flexible options that can adapt to evolving technologies and pedagogical approaches.

“This new space is going to provide us a greater capacity to have ongoing collaboration between students and businesses. It is essential because it is creating a modern business environment that simply was not possible in our old building.”
