Three stories, 36,000 square feet and more than 2,300 quilts make up the world’s first center dedicated to the study, preservation and display of quilts. A bowed, ‘stitched’ facade of glass panels makes a dramatic statement to visitors. Inside, a stepped ramp runs along the east glass facade, leading visitors to the second floor reception hall and public galleries. The building celebrated its grand opening in March of 2008.
