Like a national park lodge

The firm’s first large-scale project, the Arbor Day Foundation’s conference center takes inspiration from lodges in our most beautiful national parks. The design is based on wood as a renewable resource. The Center accommodates up to 400 people and serves as a visitor’s center for the Foundation’s 260-acre National Historic Landmark site. The facility includes 144 sleeping rooms, high-tech classrooms, media room, assembly hall, restaurant, dining hall, kitchen with banquet facilities, indoor aquatic center, fitness center, an observation deck, and a massive lobby.
