November 8, 2022
Congratulations to our friends at the Hoff Family Arts and Culture Center and Millwork Commons for being recognized at this year’s AIA Nebraska Awards Gala. Congrats to the rest of the winners too!
Read MoreHeart Ministry believes in the notion of dignity for all. This philosophy took center stage during the design process, ensuring all spaces felt welcoming and hopeful. The facility serves as the primary offices for the organization, as well as a food pantry, laundromat, space for the organization’s Fresh Start Job Placement program, and community meeting space. The design included the renovation of an existing building alongside a new construction building, connected visually by the shared use of masonry alongside precast panels.

Fresh Start Laundromat, is a community minded social enterprise. The space offers free and reduced laundry based on need through our case management team with 20 washers and 12 dryers. “A Clean Way Forward”.
The new food pantry waiting area is a warm and welcoming environment that feels more like a restaurant than a pantry. The space features soft seating, a family-style table highlighted with pendant lighting, pops of Heart Ministry red and photos of Fresh Start graduates adorning the walls. “Building block” style seating along one wall provides a fun area for children.
