Construction Administration

Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture is seeking a highly organized problem solver with the ability to manage multiple projects. This person will be involved in all aspects of construction from pre-construction through final building commissioning. This role is key in ensuring all contractual provisions are followed and monitored.

Experience
• Experience in the construction/design industry
• Experience managing all aspects of workflow and contracts regarding construction projects, including architectural supplemental instructions, requests for information, change orders, purchase orders, lien waivers and releases, etc.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel), and Bluebeam Revu, Submittal Exchange, Procore, and PlanGrid construction management programs

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers and architects throughout design, bidding, and construction
• Conduct site visits, submit field reports, and manage punch lists.
• Partner with design team to write specifications
• Attend and document preconstruction, OAC, and pre-installation meetings
• Monitor budgets and review contractor pay applications.
• Track project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, and product substitutions
• Review and process contractor shop drawings and write specifications
• Ensure compliance with Owner-Contractor construction contracts
