A new brewery experience blending hospitality and pickleball.
Located in Ashland, Nebraska, at the prominent junction of Highways 6 and 66 just outside the city’s main entrance, the Uryasz family identified a key site to bring a new community‑anchored destination to life. They partnered with Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture to envision an experience designed for all ages.
Ashland Brewing Company is a hospitality destination grounded in its owners’ longstanding connection to the community. Blending indoor and outdoor pickleball with layered dining, gathering, and recreation spaces, the project creates an approachable yet thoughtfully crafted place for the city and region to connect.

Perched up on a hillside overlooking Ashland, our goal was to create an experience that blended interior and exterior spaces, giving both the brewery and its community flexibility in how they activated each area.
The architecture draws from industrial materials and a detailed, but not overly polished, design language, balancing quality craftsmanship with a sense of ease and accessibility.
